Our workshop services
E-bike team has a fully equipped mechanical workshop, customised for electric and cargo bicycles. We offer unmatched after-sales service to all of our e-bike owners, including warranty servicing, scheduled maintenance, repairs, quotes, courtesy e-bikes and more.
Our mission is to keep your e-bike experience as smooth, safe and fun as possible.
Workshop services and bookings
We offer two types of booking. "Same day services" are booked in a few days ahead and are turned around the day of your visit. Non-urgent jobs can be booked in anytime with very little notice and are generally turned around within 1-3 days.
You can book your service online or alternatively just call us (09 368 5899) and we'll find you a spot.

Workshop FAQ
Who has access to your workshop?
Firstly, anyone who purchased an electric bicycle from us. And secondly, anyone who owns an e-bike with a similar electric system as the bikes we sell – eZee, Brompton, Bosch and Shimano for the most part.
How long does it take to get a booking
For urgent jobs like flat tyres or an otherwise unrideable e-bike, just call us and we’ll work out when you can come – usually straight away. "Same day services" are generally require a few days booking ahead. Non-urgent jobs that you're happy to pick up in 1-3 days time are usually able to be booked in at any time.
Do you repair e-scooters, e-skateboards and other electric vehicles?
I'm sorry, we do not. These have different tyre sizes, brake pad standards, batteries and chargers (other than the occasional coincidence)
Do you fix non-electric bikes?
We offer full servicing on Brompton and Vivente bikes. We carry out tyre, tube and brake repairs on any non-electric bike. If you would like us to service your non-electric bike, please contact us with info about your bike and its use. Generally speaking, if it's used for everyday transport and shares similar components (Shimano/Magura etc) to our e-bikes, we'll likely be able to help.
How long will I be without my bike?
For a same day service booking, it will generally be just the day of your booking. For drop-ins it ranges from 1 day to several days. Bikes with intermittent electrical issues can be challenging and in some cases will take longer. We offer courtesy e-bikes free of charge while we have yours in our workshop
How much will my workshop visit cost me?
We can’t say for certain until we’ve seen your bike but we will be able to give you a quote before commencing work. Some of the most common charges are on our workshop services page here. As an example, a daily commuter in Auckland after a year might need a general service ($199), long-wearing disc brake pads fitted front and rear ($80), a puncture resistant tyre ($95) and installation labour these extra parts (~$45) for a total of $420. As time goes by and your bike ages, more parts and time are required for a service, such as servicing the internal hub gears. Cargo bikes take longer to service than regular e-bikes and generally will cost more.
Do you have a pick up service?
Sorry, we don't. But if you’ve had a breakdown and are an AA member, they offer e-bike pickups.
Can I drop my bike off before you open?
Yes, you can do this at your own risk by locking up your bike outside our shop and using our key chute. Call us for details.
I bought my e-bike from you. Do I have to get my e-bike serviced with you for my warranty to be valid, or can I go elsewhere?
You’re free to get your servicing needs met wherever suits you. Some people even do it themselves. Most warranties simply require the bike to be 'maintained' and not neglected or abused. Let us know who is taking care of it and we will note to not hassle you with service reminders.
I have a warranty to claim on my e-bike. Will you help me?
If we sold you the bike, absolutely! If you didn’t buy the bike from us we might be able to help with the warranty for a fee to cover our efforts. In the first instance, you should contact your place of purchase or brand to get their approval for us to carry out warranty repairs for you.
I’ve seen another shop promoting a cheaper ‘bike service’, why does yours cost more?
We couldn't say for sure as it's difficult to compare one 'bike service' with another. Written descriptions of what is included only go so far - in the end one has to trust that the workshop is carrying out quality work relevant to your use of your e-bike. We aim to provide the most complete, convenient and sought after e-bike servicing in the city.
Courtesy e-bikes available
We know that once you’re in the habit of getting around Auckland by e-bike, there’s no worthy substitute. That’s why the our workshop keeps a fleet of eZee Sprints and an eZee Expedir cargo bike ready for you so that you can roll in and roll out while your e-bike is getting some love. Courtesy e-bikes are free of charge.
