EBT is not just for Aucklanders!

Do you live outside of Auckland? If so, you probably wish there was an EBT in your area. Sorry, we're not looking at expanding. One thing about being an independent, e-bike focused (obsessed) landmark is that we're not a cookie cutter business model that can be duplicated and planted elsewhere. From our location to our shop fit-out and most importantly our passionate team of individuals, we are always optimising our operations in our home base here. 

So our bikes and other goodies will just have to come to you! While test rides are our first recommendation to anyone buying an electric bike, we have successfully matched many people with e-bikes remotely by phone, email and video call. We continue to support these e-bikes through an informal network of bike shops around the country. Sometimes it's a combination, with people paying us a visit from a distance and then having the e-bike of their dreams sent to their local shop of choice for assembly. We've even had people send surrogates to try out bikes on their behalf (we can do that for you too)!

• Visit us from afar

You all know you can't avoid Auckland forever. Set aside time on your next trip for a visit to our showroom. To make the most of it, let's have a phone call and some email conversations ahead of time so that you know exactly what you are going to cover while you are here. Then book in your visit so we are completely prepared for you. Info on how to find us including from the airport or via Te Huia train are here. And it doesn't have to be a chore - there's a lot of great bike rides in Auckland, let us organise an e-bike and an itinerary for however much time you've got

• Working with your local shop to get you your e-bike

We enjoy excellent, long-term relationships with bike shops all over the country. We don't send out e-bikes in a box straight to people's homes other than in exceptional circumstances, for many reasons. It's inconvenient for a start, waiting at home for a truck delivery, disposing of a huge cardboard box and working out how to get it re-assembled and running. There's safety risks to assembling a bike yourself but even if you're competent to carry that out, an e-bike is best enjoyed with local support for the many years that you'll use it. Our preference therefore is to send your e-bike to a local shop to be assembled. You simply pick it up from them, safe and ready to go, with a local point of contact who can work together with us to keep your e-bike running. We charge a flat rate of $149 for the freight and assembly (we cover the bike shop's bill). 

• All of our products are available through our online store

We've been working hard on our online store lately and would welcome your feedback on how we can improve. Every single part, accessory and e-bike that we sell from our vast collection is available for sale online with daily dispatch. The free freight rules are generous on all but the bulkiest items. And don't feel like you have to be self sufficient just because it's an online store - call or email us anytime with your specific questions, particularly if you need gear for an e-bike that we sell - we will know your bike inside out. If we're not able to guarantee that it will work for your bike, we will accept a return on your purchase

• Do you live outside of New Zealand?

We can't ship any electric bikes or batteries outside of New Zealand. However, almost all of our parts and accessories are able to be shipped to you. If you are planning to visit, we will happily help with your bike setup when you arrive. You might be interested in battery hire, long term e-bike hire and buy-back options. We are very knowledgeable and excited about e-bike travel throughout New Zealand and will be happy to help with your trip.
