Abus Spare Key

You can order a spare key for Abus locks from this product page. Please choose your key type, add to cart and make the purchase. Either put in the order notes or email us your key number after your purchase. 

We will then put your order through to Abus in Germany who will send us the key, which takes about 4-6 weeks.

You'll need your key number and your key type to make your order.

In most cases your key number is written on your key. In some cases (plus and xplus type keys) it is not written on your key and you'll have to find the original 'key code card' that came with your lock or bike, or you might find your key number on the receipt of your bike purchase. Failing that, ask your retailer if they recorded your key number. Finally, if it's a system 2 Bosch e-bike, visit a dealer and ask for the bike to be plugged into the Bosch diagnostic tool system - sometimes the key number is recorded in there. For a Bosch Smart System bike, check in your Flow app to see if it's recorded there.

The key type is often the prefix of the key number (eg T82). However, in some cases it is not. For example if you have a 6 digit number with no letter in front of it, then you have a "Plus" type key. If you have a 6 digit number with an X in front, you have an XPlus key.
