We chose to stock this tool for its utility as a compact addition to a travelling/touring tool set for e-bikes, especially those with nutted rear wheels that require a 15mm spanner, such as any e-bike with Shimano Alfine/Nexus hub gears or Enviolo continuous gear hubs. In addition, it can also function as a compact pedal spanner for pedals that have flats for a spanner on their axle (this is most but not all pedals).
